Overview
This unit develops and advances your understandings of health, wellbeing, movement and Health and Physical Education (HPE) as well as the application of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 and the Australian Curriculum. It provides opportunities for you to engage with knowledge, curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in the primary years to inform your practice. You will use initiative and judgement in demonstrating your professional practice in ways that reflect key ideas and developmental appropriateness for the primary years.

You can expect to undertake a minimum total workload of 144 hours per teaching period which may include:
- on average 24 contact hours of scheduled activities which may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement; and
- 120 hours of self-directed/independent study to make up the minimum required hours
