Teaching technology

In this unit, you will engage in critical debates within the Technologies learning area and use curriculum, assessment and reporting knowledge to design learning sequences appropriate for primary school students. A major focus is on the development of professional technological, pedagogical and content knowledge through engagement with professional teaching networks, broader community organisations and industry. Contemporary issues and debates centred on social media use, big data and algorithms form the basis of a critical understanding of ethical and compliance issues, policy and codes of conduct.
