Synopsis
This unit explores science within four broad frames: science as a way of thinking and acting; research about student learning in science; teaching as the transformation of knowing science; and the engagement of learners through engaging learning experiences. The unit is designed to support you to examine curriculum and develop comprehensive science teaching built around big ideas in science. The relationship between science, technology and society, science curriculum and the nature of science as a discipline will also be considered. You will build understanding of science learning and teaching through collaborative planning.
