Synopsis
This unit extends counselling practice through a focus on two elements of technology: telehealth and applications. In this unit, you will examine applied and academic research and evaluation in relation to technology, mental health and counselling, and evaluate the quality of various technology-assisted counselling approaches, platforms and applications. Over the course of this unit you will also reflect and draw on your current or previous professional experience with telehealth and consolidate your skill in understanding and selecting established and innovative (digital) evidence-based assessments and interventions. You will also develop your skills in navigating ethical and professional issues relating to technology-assisted counselling and telehealth.
