Overview

In this unit, you will be invited to draw on your experience of education in diverse contexts and to (re)consider a range of challenging perspectives about the purposes of teaching and the relationships through which those purposes are achieved. The unit requires you to think deeply about the philosophical purposes that guide teaching practice, the nature of educator-learner relationships, and the kinds of knowledge that educators can draw on to inform their teaching and learning. This work should provoke new understandings of teaching, learning, and education. Participation in this unit does not rely on prior teaching qualifications.
