Leading mathematics educational inquiry (Professional project)

In this unit you will investigate a mathematics education issue or topic of your choice in great depth through a guided literature review process. You will pose an educationally-based inquiry question of concern which is of interest to you and will conduct a systematic review of the literature to answer this question. You will learn how to pose a researchable question, synthesise and analyse the current literature, answer your inquiry question through a synthesis of the literature, and consider the implications of your findings for leading mathematics education in your context. You will gain a deeper understanding of your leading mathematics education inquiry question and will improve your analytic thinking and academic writing skills. You will also present your findings to colleagues for discussion and refinement.
