This subject explores a wide range of emerging technologies and pedagogical approaches that are transforming education. Drawing on both theoretical and conceptual insights, you will investigate and evaluate technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, virtual and simulated reality, big data, and blended learning modalities, and how they challenge and expand the boundaries of traditional teaching methods.
You will develop advanced skills to become a critical and informed technology user in a range of educational contexts, engaging analytically with the affordances and limitations of these innovations. The focus is on fostering your ability to create cutting-edge, student-centred learning experiences. With a flexible and forward-looking approach, this subject will bring in new pedagogical uses of novel technologies, ensuring that you stay at the forefront of educational practice as new tools emerge.
