Overview
This unit will be a bridging unit for students who intend to major in either Business Analytics or Econometrics. This unit is also a suitable elective for those of you who want to expand your basic knowledge of econometrics and data analytics.
In this unit, you can expect to be further grounded in theory and practice that are invaluable for data and econometric analysis. The modules covered in this unit are:
(i) Data wrangling and visualisation
(ii) Extensions of the multiple linear regression
(iii) Mathematics for economics and business
Some emphasis will be given to the use of computer programs in achieving the learning outcomes.

Workload and teaching
