Overview

This unit builds upon FIT2083 and allows you to conduct an independent research project. You will be assigned to one of the Faculty of Information Technology's research groups, an academic supervisor and a research topic. You may work on your project individually or in groups, as determined by your supervisor. During the semester, you will be required to participate in research group events including seminars and presentations.

When you finish this unit, you should be able to:

    Formulate a research hypothesis and chose an appropriate methodology to evaluate that hypothesis;

    Conduct the experiment and/or implementation in order to evaluate the hypothesis;

    Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate their research findings both orally and in writing.
