Technology resources
Monash FIT GitLab Server
All students must maintain their unit work on the FIT GitLab server (https://git.infotech.monash.edu/) to provide a secure repository for completed work and demonstrate a clear development history. Students will be provided with an account on this server.
Monash Oracle and MongoDB Servers
This unit uses the Oracle 12 and MongoDB databases running on Monash servers. All students will have an account on this server, which will suffice for all database work this semester. To access this server, students must install and run the Monash VPN software (details are available on the Moodle/Ed Lesson site).
VSCode
This unit uses VSCode as a client to access Oracle, MongoDB and FIT GitLab servers. Students must install the latest version of this software.
Data Modeler
The client software for data modelling will be available for download from the unit Moodle/Ed Lesson site. Students must ONLY use the prescribed version provided by the teaching team. You must not download and use Data Modeler from any other site
