Synopsis
This unit is an elective that compliments and consolidates Level 2 core studio practice units in Fine Art. The unit develops independent studio research and its translation and deployment in the public realm. It is designed to further develop, challenge and expand how you think about making artworks and to synthesise your research interests and skills developed in studio workshop electives. In consultation with lecturers, you will develop an individual program of studio activity that extends your evolving creative practice and professional direction. Teaching methodology involves critical dialogue, classroom discussion and peer review. This unit presents a broad range of approaches to contemporary art, its institutions and the public realm.
