Overview

Public art studio is a practice-based unit where you will develop a real-world project working individually or in a group. You will analyse and respond to a set brief, and will develop your ideas across the semester, presenting these developments in individual and group discussions, culminating in a final presentation of a proposal that clearly articulates both the conceptual and material resolution of the work and an exegetical component that contextualises the work in the field of practice. This unit will also explore issues in professional practice, including ethics, legal requirements, budgeting, project management, government and tender policy.
