COREQUISITE: Enrolment in the Master of Food Science and Agribusiness
PREREQUISITE: Parts A and B must be completed before undertaking Part D units in the Master of Food Science and Agribusiness. Exceptions may be approved upon discussion with the Course Director and/or Course Coordinator.
Overview
This unit is part of the advanced practice component (Part D) within the Master of Food Science and Agribusiness, and represents a capstone of the overall Master’s program. This unit, in line with the other science units, provides practical experience in the application of scientific knowledge to food science and agribusiness, with outcomes that influence innovation and industrial practices.
This unit allows you to devote yourselves to a substantial industry-driven project as part of your final year of study in the Master of Food Science and Agribusiness.
The internship may be carried out at an industry premises, in collaboration with an industrial partner by arrangement and approval of the unit coordinator. Complementing the industry‑focused nature of the internship are tutorial materials and discussions covering formal requirements related to occupational health and safety (OH&S), career related workshops, data analysis and presentation, and report writing.
