Synopsis
You will explore and develop the skills to understand and engage with complex contemporary health challenges in a local and global context. You will explore your position on today’s health challenges, uncovering your strengths and biases.
Through class activities and assessments, you will develop and apply your critical thinking, investigation, negotiation and analysis skills to challenges that matter to you and your peers. Your understanding of different viewpoints and the causes of health challenges will be enhanced – equipping you to respond to health challenges personally and professionally.
Examples of the challenges you could focus on include: planetary health, gender-based violence, food systems and security, health inequities, displacement of persons, mental health, addiction, ageing population, misinformation, and disease outbreaks.
