Synopsis
This unit is the first of two units designed to consolidate and build upon your developing knowledge and understanding of public health and health sciences practice.
You will learn how to develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based health interventions. From identifying public health issues and assessing the state of current evidence, to planning effective programs, measuring health impacts, and disseminating the results.
The unit aims to equip you to meet the core competencies required for public health and health sciences professionals, including communication skills, teamwork, and ethical practice.
It will also provide opportunity to participate in and perform authentic tasks and practices related to professional practice within the Public Health and the broader health sciences sector.
