Natural language processing is a vital piece of technology in the information age. This unit will cover essential techniques for analysing words, sentences, documents and applications. In this unit you will gain an understanding in fundamental and cutting-edge aspects of language processing techniques, from building neural translation systems, to using the recent Transformer models in downstream applications. In addition to applied aspects, you will learn all the technical details underpinnig these systems.
