It focuses on the taxation treatment that applies to such investment and discusses relevant regulatory matters. It also examines and compares international aspects of private investment law. A range of government tax and other incentives that encourage investors to commit capital to start-up companies are analysed, along with some incentives that reward these companies for undertaking innovative activities such as research and development (R&D).
