Industry research internship

Synopsis

This internship unit is designed to provide doctoral students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in industry, allowing students to put into practice the knowledge and skills they have developed in their graduate research course. Student enrolled in this unit must be currently undertaking an eligible research internship (a minimum 3-months (60-day, full-time equivalent) placement in an industry setting). Internships can be completed across a broad range of industries, including business, government, non-governmental organisations, and community organisations.

The overall aim of the internship is to extend the training of Monash Doctoral Program students to apply their research skills to a discipline relevant industry placement, while simultaneously developing skills and knowledge of industry and building professional networks. Overall, helping students to explore career options and prepare them to achieve their future career goals.
