Synopsis
Operations management is fundamental to business innovation as it ensures cutting-edge strategies can be efficiently executed to deliver value. In this unit, we will explore the core principles of operations management and implement its frameworks and theories to manage risk and uncertainty. The key operations activities included in this unit starts from pre-production tasks, resource and capacity planning, sequencing and scheduling of the operations, supply chain and inventory management, quality control, and improvement methods. Besides quantitative models, we will also develop approaches to manage changes in organisations and the implementation of advanced technology.
