Synopsis
This unit introduces you to the fundamental concepts and methods of data analysis, with an emphasis on organising, summarising, and interpreting data for business and management applications. You will develop skills in descriptive statistics, probability, and basic data handling, and will learn to apply Excel for data organisation, visualisation, and simple analysis. By the end of the unit, you will be able to collect and summarise data, calculate and interpret key statistical measures, and perform introductory probability and survey analysis, providing a strong foundation for more advanced statistical techniques in Year 2.
