PREREQUISITE: At least two high distinctions (>80%) in MTH level three units. Written permission from the unit coordinator is required to enrol in this unit. Approval is dependent on the appropriate supervision and resources.
Overview
This unit provides you with an opportunity to work with a supervisor and complete a mathematical research project chosen from a range of areas of mathematics and statistics, including astrophysics, dynamics, chaos, computing algorithm design, number theory, logic and meteorology. You will complete a written final report, two written progress reports, and will give an oral presentation on their work.
