Synopsis
This unit introduces you to leadership, ethics and law in nursing and midwifery for the provision of safe and effective person-centred care. You will be introduced to various types of leadership theories and you will be able to identify the most effective leadership styles necessary in healthcare. You will also learn ethical theories relevant to healthcare and demonstrate your ability to practice in the ethical decision-making process. In this unit you will also be introduced to the various legislations that underpins the practice of registered nurses and midwives in Australia.
