Synopsis
In this unit you will explore the key principles and concepts of health that inform the frameworks guiding disease prevention. You will develop an understanding of: health and illness; global and population health; social determinants of health, environmental impacts on health; therapeutic communication and cultural safety; health promotion and health screening. This will provide a foundation for you to explore and reflect on the provision of health care to underserved populations and nursing in a culturally diverse community.
