Overview
This unit builds on the ‘Fostering Therapeutic Interactions’ unit and focuses on specialised communication and approaches for collaborative practice. You will focus on communication aimed at keeping service users safe from additional harm in genuinely therapeutic environments in their homes, local community settings, or in specialised mental health settings. Further, you will develop skills used in psychotherapeutic approaches when working with service users.
You will develop skills to collaboratively plan, coordinate and complete care with key stakeholders. Stakeholders include service users, carers and families, and interdisciplinary teams across settings. This unit will also support you in exploring the importance of leadership in working in clinical partnerships.
