Synopsis
Care of the patient with a neuroscience condition requires specialised nursing skills and knowledge to address the complex needs of the patient. In this unit you will develop specialised knowledge and skills that will enable you to assess, plan, prioritise, implement and evaluate appropriate nursing care of the acute neuroscience patient. You will also implement health promotion and educational principles, while considering evidence-based practices for those with neuroscience conditions. This unit will enable you to develop an understanding of evidence-based treatment including new and emerging treatment and effective nursing management of complications.
