Overview
Medical surgical nursing requires specialised skills and understanding of clinical leadership, management, and patient care.
You will develop skills to care for medical surgical patients using a patient-centred approach incorporating effective health promotion and health education strategies. Your study will include key factors associated with the management of medical surgical patients, stabilisation, and management of the seriously ill or deteriorating patients.
You will examine the role of nurses in different contexts of medical surgical nursing including ethical considerations when working with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
