Synopsis
This unit will offer you an evidence base for contemporary teaching and learning practice of health care practitioners, within a context of continuous change. You will explore a range of theoretical underpinnings that impact upon the educational process in health care practice with emphasis placed on educational learning theories. You will apply theoretical learning to teaching practice through design, plan and delivery of a teaching practicum and reflecting on their role as a teacher within your own clinical practice. This unit will examine flexible and innovative teaching strategies for both classroom and clinical teaching and supervision experiences in a variety of contexts, including inter-professional education. After completion of this unit, you will be equipped with the knowledge and mastery of skills to respond to health care practitioners learning needs, in order to enhance engagement and educational experiences.
