Overview

This unit enables you to focus on the acquisition and synthesis of advanced nursing knowledge and skills related to the initial aspect of the consultation sequence - specifically, advanced history taking, advanced health assessment, the formulation of a working diagnosis and differentials, and the ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Additionally, you will analyse the impact of social determinants of health on history taking and health assessment and how these factors influence your diagnostic reasoning.

    Interpret and critically analyse clinical assessment findings to inform relevant investigative options.

    Demonstrate your role in delivering an education session in an advanced nursing practice role.
