Synopsis
Nurses working in different contexts of trauma care require specialist trauma knowledge and the skill-base to assess and manage trauma patients throughout their journeys.
In this unit, you will study trauma nursing principles and the essentials of managing the trauma patient. You will explore key factors associated with managing risks and providing evidence-based care to trauma patients across their journeys from initial trauma to recovery.
You will examine the role of nurses in different contexts of trauma care, within the multidisciplinary team, and in the provision of quality care to trauma patients with varying needs.
