Overview
This unit is part of Theme 2 - 'Nutrition and Health' and draws knowledge and skills from Theme 1 units - 'Fundamentals of Biomedical Sciences' and 'Fundamentals of Human Nutrition'.
In this unit students will learn the nutritional needs of a variety of active populations, focusing on exercise and sports.
You will appreciate the role of foods and fluids in physical activity, exercise and sports performance. Students will also learn the role of sports nutritionists in a multidisciplinary team.
