Synopsis
In this unit, you will learn about the unique role of occupational therapists in comparison to other healthcare professionals. You will develop the skills required to demonstrate appropriate behaviour and beginner-level proficiency in occupational therapy professional skills such as communication, manual handling, activity analysis and occupational health and safety.
You will gain an understanding of the professional behaviour, legal, cultural, and ethical considerations that are imperative in occupational therapy practice. The unit will also expose you to various simulated scenarios and case studies to equip you with the necessary skills to understand the challenges faced by clients and consumers of healthcare services.
