Overview

In this unit, you will learn about the characteristics, functions, regulations and integrations of the various organ systems in the human body. The major organ system covered will include the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, digestive, reproductive, musculoskeletal, and the endocrine systems. The overall focus of this unit is about how the organ systems work to maintain a normal internal body environment, i.e. homeostasis, on how each organ system functions at rest and in response to both internal and external disturbances
