Synopsis
This unit aims to expose you to the knowledge and strategies required to thrive in your academic and professional life. It gives you an overview and understanding of foundational information about wellbeing, mental health prevention, critical thinking skills, and skills for improving group and team work.
Lectures will provide an evidence based and holistic understanding of mental health alongside key and prominent areas of coping, preventative mental health care, early help seeking options, supporting others, and the impact of lifestyle on wellbeing.
Assessments will focus on building translatable skills vital in any workforce including critical thinking, team work, and multi-platform communication.
The core principles, learning objectives, and learning outcomes of this unit are designed to support you in all areas of their life, learning and work well beyond this unit.
