Synopsis
In this unit you will be provided with a grounding in legal, ethical, and professional practice issues relevant to clinical psychology. Classes are designed as practical workshops, where you will apply knowledge of ethical codes and Acts to clinical scenarios.
Issues related to cultural sensitivity in relation to working with diverse populations (e.g., ethnic minorities, LGBT populations) will also be discussed.
You will be exposed to the many varied roles of psychologists and professional practice issues that arise across a variety of settings, and learn about the importance of collaborative, systemic work.
