PTY5301

Synopsis

This clinical placement unit  requires you to complete a 5-week full time clinical placement in an acute, subacute/rehabilitation or community setting. This unit will enable you to build upon your  knowledge and experience to further develop the competencies required for independent practice as a physiotherapist.
Through supervised practice, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and client education, whilst working as part of a larger health care team. The professional, ethical and legal aspects of physiotherapy will be applied to practice, providing an opportunity for you  to develop technical, clinical, personal and professional skills.
Additional study modules on pain management, delegation and telehealth will supplement the clinical placement experience.
