Synopsis

Through completing this unit, you will develop an understanding of the scientific principles and techniques behind effective and safe computed tomography (CT) imaging.

You will be introduced to the instrumentation, positioning, clinical-protocols and radiation protection principals for CT and learn how to apply these to practice in both therapy and diagnostic settings.

Building on your knowledge of cross-sectional imaging in RAD2002, you will further develop your skills in anatomical and pathological identification of core body regions in CT (head/neck/chest/abdomen/pelvis).
