Impact through science 1A
SCI1501
Synopsis
This inaugural level-one “Impact through science” unit sits at the core of the Bachelor of Science Advanced - Global Challenges (Honours). It lays the groundwork for your academic and personal development, introducing two parallel modules: leadership and persuasive communication. With the Sustainable development goals (SDGs) and Inner development goals (IDGs) as a foundational framework, we take an experiential learning approach to move beyond traditional scientific training and cultivate a holistic skill set. There is also a strong focus on developing teamwork skills through diverse modes. A 'dialogue' evening series will provide opportunities for networking through intimate discussions with leaders from a variety of industries. This unit sets the stage for future academic and professional success, fostering a spirit of curiosity, adaptability, and collaboration essential for addressing the complex challenges of our interconnected world.
