Synopsis
This unit you will develop advanced skills in reproductive system ultrasound, covering sonographic scanning methods, standard protocols, and interpretational skills for the female pelvis and male reproductive system. You will learn to recognise normal anatomy, anatomical variants, and pathological findings, and to adapt scanning approaches according to the clinical question and patient presentation. The unit also provides and opportunity for you to apply medico-legal and culturally safe practices during intimate examinations, integrating sonographic findings into clinical decision-making, effective communication with patients and healthcare teams, and reflective practice to enhance professional competence.
