    Identify, describe and justify the selection of imaging parameters, and equipment, as well as patient care and quality assurance principles for vascular, transplant and postoperative ultrasound examinations;

  2. 2

    Perform routine vascular ultrasound examinations, including functional measurements of selected vessels of the cardiovascular system to a standard and ethical conduct expected of a competent sonographer;

  3. 3

    Identify and describe the normal and abnormal sonographic appearances of the upper and lower limb venous and arterial systems and carotid and vertebral arteries on ultrasound images and related artefacts;

  4. 4

    Recognise when modifications to routine scanning approaches are required and explain the limitations of ultrasound in regards to vascular and transplant imaging;

  5. 5

    Explain, justify and implement the use of Spectral, Colour and Power Doppler techniques in vascular imaging and the assessment of blood flow and organ perfusion;
