Overview

You will gain knowledge of motor speech disorders across the lifespan, including dysarthria and apraxia. You will learn to identify, assess, and manage these disorders using evidence-based approaches. You will explore the neurological foundations, practice differential diagnosis, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, functional communication goals, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through case-based learning and simulated practice, you will build foundational skills for working with individuals experiencing motor speech impairments in a variety of clinical settings.
