Synopsis
In this unit, you will critically appraise and evaluate clinical and scientific literature with a focus on translational medicine perspectives and identify innovative findings that have potential to be developed into clinical applications. You will develop an in-depth and contextual knowledge base in your selected area of research interest from which to generate cutting-edge clinical and translational research questions and inquiry-based research strategies to address unmet clinical needs.
The unit will consist of a combination of workshops, self-directed and group-directed learning, eLearning resources and online specialist lectures delivered by researchers and clinicians actively working across the broad range of medical disciplines in the School of Translational Medicine; CNS disorders (brain and spinal cord), Metabolic disorders (diabetes and obesity), Haematology (blood disorders) and Immunology (immunity and allergy).
