Overview
Economics and business strategy equips you with the analytical frameworks needed to understand how individuals, firms, governments and economies make decisions in complex and competitive environments. The major combines microeconomics, macroeconomics, game theory, industry analysis, regulation, pricing strategy, data-informed decision-making and applied business problem solving. You will learn to evaluate market structures, analyse competitor behaviour, interpret economic growth, inflation, unemployment and business cycles, and develop evidence-based recommendations for organisations and policymakers. Through case-based and research-informed learning, the major develops your discipline knowledge, critical thinking, communication, research, teamwork and leadership skills, while encouraging globally aware, socially responsible and inclusive decision-making. It prepares you for careers in management consulting, corporate strategy, policy analysis, regulation and business advisory services.
