Overview
The Environmental Engineering minor is structured to introduce the complex and dynamic relationship in the environmental system, with a focus on the urban solutions. Students undertaking the minor will be taught about environmental matters from a diverse range of disciplines and perspectives. Students will be provided with the inter-disciplinary knowledge and research skills necessary to engage with the challenging environmental issues confronting societies of today and of the future, and with the opportunity to translate these attributes into various outputs and interventions. The units cover the important areas including energy, urban setting, pollutant dynamics, soil, waste, and impact assessment.
Availability
The Environmental Engineering minor is available only to students enrolled in the single degree E3001 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) completing the Civil engineering specialisation, the Chemical engineering specialisation, the Resources and mining engineering specialisation or the Resources and renewable energy engineering specialisation.

Note: ENE4042 is a core unit in the Resources and Mining Engineering and the Resources and Renewable Energy Engineering, therefore, not available within this minor to students in these specialisations.
