Overview
This program provides doctoral (PhD) students with the opportunity to focus on developing knowledge and expertise in their chosen discipline, as well as developing professional skills that will support their career ambitions.
Each student's research will be supported by the development of a range of skills that will help them to become more efficient researchers, ultimately improving the quality of the research and developing generic/transferable skills of value to prospective employers.
This program is located at the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. It is offered by Central Clinical School, Eastern Health Clinical School, and School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health. The program is also applicable to students studying externally.

In addition, students can make a case to their Graduate Research Coordinator if they wish to undertake a unit at Master’s level or above that is highly relevant to their research project and which is offered outside of the program. Such requests will also be assessed on a case by case basis. Note, units taken outside of the Translational Research Coursework Program may incur fees, which will differ depending on whether students are domestic or international.
