Course structure

The handbook's description of this structure

This course is structured in three parts Part A. Operational knowledge, Part B. Organisational skills, Part C. Professional skills.

Part A. Operational knowledge

These units provide ample coverage of theory, models and contemporary practice across the key business functions of contemporary organisations.  They are designed to provide foundational knowledge of each subject area and extend the knowledge to contemporary practices that emphasise digitalisation, the strategic use of data, virtual teamwork, design thinking, and agile project methods.

Part B. Organisational skills

The focus of these units is to develop deep understanding and advanced practice in the three key organisational skills required by strategic managers: strategic management, leadership and innovation. Each of these skillsets is examined in the context of a contemporary movement: the emergence of new organisational forms, sustainable development and digital transformation. In contrast to the other nine MBusAdmin (Digital) units, the Organisational Skills units will make significant use of synchronous learning (24 hours of synchronous learning in each unit).

Part C. Professional skills

The focus of these studies is to develop the strategies and tactics necessary for you to thrive in an increasingly digital, dynamic and uncertain business environment. The units include methods for maintaining currency through lifelong learning, building your professional communities, and honing your direction and purpose for career advancement.
