Overview

The double degree in Master of Business Management and Master of Marketing and Digital Communications provides emerging and established professionals with advanced business knowledge combined with marketing skills and capabilities to deliver organisational success. The Master of Business Management is an integrated and practical introduction to the practice of business management in a contemporary, dynamic and digital context. In this degree, you will learn how organisations can thrive in the context of digital disruption, transformation and accelerating technological change. Combined with the Master of Marketing and Digital Communications where you will build specialist knowledge in the digital space to keep pace with contemporary trends and become an in-demand leader, you’ll be ready for the future. With its part-time and online delivery, you can also fit study around your busy work and family commitments.

In the Master of Business Management, a broad-based business degree, you will develop core business management knowledge and skills, then deep dive into a selected professional specialisation or subject area of your choice, while also gaining the foundation of business leadership knowledge aligned to contemporary employability criteria. As part of the degree, you will also have the opportunity to develop your professional presence and behavioural attributes to equip you for a managerial career and apply the latest thinking and models for implementing transformational change. Ultimately, you will apply all of the skills you have developed by completing industry projects in a sector or business of your choice.

Master of Business Management 

This course is structured in three parts Part A. Business management foundation, Part B. Specialist studies, and Part C. Application studies. In this double degree you complete:

Part A. Business management foundation

These studies will introduce you to business management practice at an advanced graduate level. They are designed to extend your ability to manage the organisation while building on existing professional work experience.

Part C. Application studies

The focus of these studies is professional and project work that can contribute to a portfolio of professional development.

Master of Marketing and Digital Communications

The course is structured in two parts: Part A. Core master's study and Part B. Advanced expertise. In this double degree you complete:

Part A. Core master’s study 

These studies draw on best practices within the broad realm of communications and media studies practice and research to further your understanding of communications and media systems both locally and globally. Studies focus on the challenges posed by the emergence of digital media, globalisation and increasing levels of cross-cultural exchange. 

These studies are further enhanced and expanded on with theoretical and industry based perspectives to provide an understanding of how organisations can connect with and influence their consumers to achieve specific marketing and promotional objectives. These studies will provide insight into the marketing communications industry and how it interacts with society and the changes associated with new technologies and new media. The impact of technological change on marketing and consumer behaviour will also be critically analysed.

Entry requirements
