You will undertake a guided advanced studies program in an aspect of community-based emergency health and an approved research project under the supervision of a member of the academic or research staff.

This course consists of supervised research and coursework components.

You can commence in either first or second semester:

  • full-time students complete PAR4001 and PAR4002 in their first semester of study and PAR4003 in their second semester
  • part-time students complete PAR4001 and PAR4002 in year one and PAR4003 in year two.

This course comprises 48 points

You must complete:

PAR4001 Research literature review (12 points)
PAR4002 Research proposal, design and ethics (12 points)
PAR4003 Research report (24 points)

You can commence in either first or second semester:

  • full-time students complete PAR4001 and PAR4002 in their first semester of study and PAR4003 in their second semester
  • part-time students complete PAR4001 and PAR4002 in year one and PAR4003 in year two.

Monash minimum: Level C, that is: IELTS (Academic): 7.0 overall (no band lower than 6.5); or Pearson Test of English (Academic):  score of 65 overall with no band lower than 58; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 94 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 24, Listening: 20, Reading: 19 and Speaking: 20; or Equivalent approved English test
