All units are 6 points unless otherwise stated.

Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that you will be able to:

Define the legislative and operational framework governing personal injury management.
- 2
Identify the critical issues faced by various approaches to personal injury insurance schemes and identify the strengths and weaknesses of each major approach.

Distinguish key principles of personal injury management, including scheme design, scheme financing, performance measurement, case management, rehabilitation and return to work.
- 4
Identify the necessary components of an injury management program.
- 5
Analyse on contemporary issues in the personal injury industry.
- 6
Describe the historical, social and political context of personal injury in Australian society and appraise recent developments in personal injury policy and practice.
- 7
Generate personal injury management strategies and/or programs, and/or research and apply public health principles and methods, to reduce the impact of personal injury in the community.

English language
Monash level B, that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 (with individual band scores of Writing: 6.0, Listening: 6.5, Reading: 6.5 and Speaking: 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with minimum scores: Writing 50, Listening 58, Reading 58, Speaking 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing 21, Listening 20, Reading 19, Speaking 18; or Equivalent approved English test
