Overview

The Master of Health Science incorporates key aspects of health science including data analysis, processing and management, within the health context.  The course builds upon competency in statistical and exploratory analysis, data formats and languages, processing of massive data sets, management of data and its role and impact in health. Health topics include essential knowledge and skills in epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion and disease prevention and application to current health care issues.

Part A. Advanced Expertise

Part B. Advanced Health Science Core Studies

In these studies, you will gain expertise and competence in key aspects of health science and essential knowledge and skills in epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion and disease. These units are taken at Monash University.

    integrate health and data science related knowledge, critical analysis, expert judgement, autonomy, adaptability and responsibility into practice to address health problems relevant at a community, national, international or global level

    communicate, evaluate and analyse principles of good research, legal, privacy and ethical issues in health science, and evaluate how they inform ethical and professional practice.
