Overview
The Diploma of Art and Design is your first step towards completing your Monash Art, Design or Architecture degree.
You'll learn how to work independently and develop your problem solving, team work and time management skills to prepare you for success at Monash University. You will also enhance your creative thinking, and develop your conceptual and technical skills in this field. This Diploma will also enable you to further develop your portfolio of work.
In Part 1 of the course you will develop your personal folio, which will show your creative work.
In Part 2 of the course you can choose your area of specialisation to prepare you for your Monash bachelor degree. There are five streams to choose between: Architectural Design, Fine Art, Communication Design, Industrial Design, or Spatial Design.
During part 2 you will study the equivalent curriculum and complete the equivalent assessments as first year undergraduate students.
Note: Only students who complete the two trimesters of part 2 will be eligible to receive the diploma qualification.
